Within the DOTS-LCCI project, the RCL group is contributing to the organization of the Winter School on Hot Topics in Secure and Dependable Computing for Critical Infrastructure (SDCI 2012), to be held in Cortina d'Ampezzo (BL), Italy, on January 15th-19th, 2012.

SDCI 2012 is a Ph.D. winter school that will feature a series of talks by renowned Italian researchers on enhancing reliability in complex critical infrastructures and their protection against cyber attacks. The talks will span from theory to practice and the covered topics will include specific areas such as Financial Infrastructure, Power Grids, Air Traffic Control systems as well as basic methodologies including complex event processing, quantitative evaluation of dependability, software architectures and computational models.
 
The school will also give to Ph.D. students the opportunity to present their current research activity and get feedback on it. Additionally, project work will be assigned to groups of students that will be evaluated at the end of the course by the SDCI board of lecturers. Upon request, students that will pass the exam will be provided by the school with a certificate. The school is also open to senior researchers to disseminate latest results on areas related to topics of the school. The program includes a special session for this. The school finally features the retirement seminar of Luca Simoncini who provided a long and enthusiastic contribution to the community growth is this field.

Deadline for registration: December 2nd 2011

Registration fee is 700,00 € with accommodation in double room and 850,00 € with accommodation in single room. The fee will include, breakfast, dinner, coffee breaks and WiFi Internet Connection.
