Short CV


Andrea Ceccarelli received the Bachelor degree (cum laude) and Master degree (cum laude) in computer science from the University of Florence in 2006 and 2008, respectively. He received the PhD in Informatics and Automation Engineering at the Department of Systems and Informatics, University of Firenze, in April 2012. He is currently a Research Associate (RTDb) at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, University of Florence. He is active in the area of dependable and secure systems starting 2006, first as external collaborator, then as PhD student and finally Researcher at the University of Florence.

Starting 2009 he is involved in the Academic Spinoff Resiltech S.r.l.

He has been involved in the European funded projects FP7-PEOPLE-2012-IAPP CECRIS, FP7-PEOPLE-2013-IRSES DEVASSES, FP7-ICT-2013-10 AMADEOS, JPI URBAN EUROPE IRENE, IST-FP6-26979 HIDENETS, FP6-IST-031413 SAFEDMI, FP7-IST-234088 ALARP, IST-FP7-216295 AMBER, in the National project PRIN TENACE, PRIN DOTS-LCCI, and in the Regional project POR CREO SILFI and POR-CREO 2007-2013 SECURE!. He is currently involved in the H2020-MSCA-RISE ADVANCE, and in the Regional Projects FAR-FAS 2014 TOSCA-FI and POR FESR 2014-2020 SISTER.

He regularly serves as member of Program Committees of International Conferences and Workshops including DSN, SRDS and as reviewer for International conferences and journals. He was TPC co-chair of SRDS 2017 and LADC 2018, and publication chair of SAFECOMP 2014, SRDS 2016, and co-chair of the Workshops RADIANCE @ DSN 2015, RADIANCE @ DSN 2016, RADIANCE @ DSN 2017, IRENE Workshop on Tools for Smart Grid Design and Assessment” @ SmartGift 2017, IRENE: resilient and secure urban power systems@ISC2 2016, poster chair of EDCC 2019.

He was visiting researcher at Critical Software SA (2013), Universidade Federal de Alagoas (2014, 2016), Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2015), and visiting student at the University of Coimbra (2010-2011).

He served as expert for the European Commission in the review of H2020 projects in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018.
